One Of The Best-selling EVs In Indonesia Is A Borong Award In Singapore
JAKARTA - Appearing for the first time in 2021, Ioniq 5 received a very good reception as one of the mainstay electric vehicles (EV) from the Hyundai brand. The crossover is produced with a design that is not much different from the concept version and offers an impressive distance.
Thanks to some of the advantages raised in it, Hyundai Ioniq 5 was named the winner of the Straits Times Car of the Year, Sgcarmart Car of the Year, and Electric SUV of the Year, for 2023 in Singapore.
According to Hyundai's official website, Monday, January 1, the Straits Times of the Year event is an award that assesses the first generation of vehicles from various categories. Of the 40 cars launched in Singapore between November 2022 and mid-November 2023, Ioniq 5 became one of the nine finalists of this event.
The Straits Times, a well-known media outlet in Singapore, evaluated finalists consisting of nine categories, namely practicality, economy, performance, handling, efficiency, design, driving quality, manufacturing quality, and other intangible factors.
In this award, Hyundai Ioniq 5 won a total score of 399 points for successfully mastering the practicality, affordability and design categories.
"I love the retro-futuristic appearance of Hyundai Ioniq 5 and how practical it is," said Lynn Tan, as one of the judges at the event.

The car with five doors also won the Sgcarmart of the Year 2023 award. Of the total 76 cars consisting of 26 categories, Ioniq5 was named the winner in the electric SUV category.
Sgcarmart explained on its website that they evaluate the efforts and creativity of each car manufacturer in bringing their cars to a higher level in terms of design, efficiency, usability, and value of money.
In Indonesia, Hyundai Ioniq 5 is one of the best-selling electric vehicles (EV) by providing various options for Indonesian consumers. With the addition of the BlueLink feature, the model is priced at IDR 759 million for Prime Standard Range. While the top variant, Signature Long Range is valued at IDR 870 million.
