After India, Suzuki Jimny Five Doors Visit The Philippine Market

JAKARTA - After debuting in the Indian automotive industry, Suzuki Jimny has five doors preparing to take the floor on other Asian markets, including the latest Philippine market.

Reporting from Top Gear Philippines, Sunday, December 31, one unit of this model was caught on camera being tested through the terrain at Tanay Municipality, Rizal province, Philippines.

Unfortunately, the Suzuki Auto Philippines is still closing information about this. However, it is reported that five doors of Jimny will be offered in various variants, including GL MT, GLX AT, and GLX AT Two-Tone as the highest types.

Speaking of prices, it is possible that Suzuki Jimny has prices in the range of 1.5 million pesos to 1.7 million pesos (equivalent to IDR 430.6 million to IDR 472.2 million).

By design, this car has a longer dimension than the Jimny 3-door model. But it also looks not much different from the front, front and rear spots, engine hoods, windshields and wheel arch extensions also appear to be identical to the three-door model. The difference is seen in the stern bodywork of the back door.

The Philippines is one of the countries that gets this unit from Indian production, apart from Africa and Latin America, but Suzuki is considering expanding its model to a variety of further markets.

Suzuki Jimny has five doors equipped with a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 103 dk of power and a 134 Nm torque. Consumers can also choose to couple this machine to a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic with a torque converter.
