Police Arrest Father In South Jakarta Allegedly Rape Of 11-Year-Old Stepdaughter Accompanied By Threat

JAKARTA - A father with the initials H was arrested by the South Jakarta Metro Police. H, who is suspected of raping his stepdaughter, is still 11 years old, was arrested in the Pesanggrahan area, South Jakarta (Jaksel).

Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit (Kanit PPA) of the South Jakarta Metro Police (Jaksel) AKP Mariana confirmed the arrest.

"Yes, that's right (he has been arrested)," said Mariana in a short message, Sunday, December 31.

The stepfather was arrested on Friday, December 29 afternoon.

Acting Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA) Lia Latifah added that her party provided assistance to the cousin of the victim with the initials S, Fitri, when questioned at the South Jakarta Metro Police after the arrest.

"So later there will be another summons to the victim and to the victim's mother. Last night I also said that this is a procedure that must be followed by k family when a child gets sexually assaulted," he said.

Previously, a girl with the initials S was suspected of being a victim of rape by her stepfather with the initials H in the Pesanggrahan area, South Jakarta.

The Fitri's cousin, revealed that the alleged rape was based on the story of victim S crying when he visited his grandmother's house in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta.

S, who branded Fitri, admitted that he was afraid and annoyed with his stepfather's actions. The victim asked his stepfather to be imprisoned for raping him.

He said 'I was bathed by my father naked. He was told to sit on his thigh, then my father was shaking his arms'. He was molested and raped. Since he (the victim) was in grade 5 of elementary school, Fitri said when met in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta, Sunday, December 31.

Based on the victim's confession, the alleged perpetrator often committed the act of obscenity. However, the action was not reported because the victim received threats from the alleged perpetrator.

"There was a threat from his father. He did it often but I asked him no matter how many times, how many months he said he didn't know" he said that he often confessed to me, "he said.
