Provincial Government Asks Papuans To Maintain Conduciveness, Not Excessive Euphoria
PAPUA - The Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov) invites all its people in nine regencies and cities to maintain conducive security and comfort on New Year's Eve 2024.
Head of the Communication and Information Office of Papua Province, Jeri Agus Yudianto, said that his party also appealed to the public not to overdo euphoria on New Year's Eve.
"On the D-1 towards the New Year 2024, the Papua Provincial Government has not yet received any instructions from the leadership regarding New Year's Eve activities, but we invite residents to celebrate peacefully," he said in Jayapura, Sunday, December 31, which was confiscated by Antara.
According to Jeri, New Year's Eve should be a reflection for all parties about what has been done throughout 2023.
"For us in the Papua Provincial Government, there are many hopes in 2024, but it cannot be realized without the support of the community," he said.

For this reason, his party hopes to make New Year's Eve a reflection of what has been made throughout 2023 so that in the future it will be even better.
"The year 2023 is a form of reflection so that in 2024 it will be better," he said again.
He also reminded ASN not to add to the schedule for the Christmas and New Year holidays because the time given is quite long.
"The Papua Provincial Government hopes that all ASN have entered work on January 3, 2024," he said.
