Winning Scrimmage Vs Satria Muda, Dewa United Players Still Need Adaptation
JAKARTA - Dewa United Banten continues to finalize preparations for appearing in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) for the 2024 season which will be held on January 14, 2024.
Not only training, the Children of Dewa also underwent a series of trials or game scrimmages against Pelita Jaya, RANS Simba Bogor, Rajawali Medan, and Satria Muda.
In the latest scrimmage match against Satria Muda, Dewa United won far with a score of 112-95 at the GBK Arena on Friday, December 29, 2023.
The three new ammunition that became the mainstay of Dewa United Banten, namely Total Prosper, Jordan Adams, and Tavario Miller also performed brilliantly.
Prosper scored double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Adams with 31 points and seven rebounds, and Tavario with 18 points and six rebounds.
"Lester, Jordan, and Tavaroi are very experienced players after joining us for almost two weeks.
"They have quality and can execute and develop the system we provide," said Dewa United coach Pablo Daniel Favarel.

Although foreign players and naturalized performed brilliantly, Pablo Favarel felt his team was not yet fully integrated. Chemistry between players and collectivity still needs to be improved.
Pablo Favarel wants each player to get to know each other's game. No wonder, he asked all his foster children to adapt quickly.
"Now what we're doing is how local players can quickly recognize their game (foreign players and naturalized players)."
"Laster, Jordan, and Tavario I hope to recognize each other soon (as well as local players) while on the field," said Pablo.
Sementara itu, Dewa United Banten belum bisa memainkan seluruh roster saat menjalani persiapan tim.
Dewa's son is still waiting for the presence of another foreign player who will become the strength of the team in IBL 2024.
Even so, Pablo Favarel admitted that he was quite satisfied with the appearance of his new player who had joined. At least, with the squad almost complete, they can adapt to the system promoted by the coach.
"I'm sure we've done everything well and correctly so far. Even though we haven't really been able to string up the pieces of this team by playing all the roters."
"However, we are in that stage and we have to prepare to start the league on January 14, 2024. So what we are doing right now is working hard to achieve that target."
"Hopefully the training and game scrimmage that we have been through so far makes the players feel comfortable with the system we implement in this team and can quickly adapt," said Pablo Favarel.
