Jasa Marga Records 710,351 Vehicles Back To Jabotabek After Christmas Holiday
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted, as many as 710,351 vehicles returned to the Jabotabek area during the Christmas 2023 or Monday-Thursday holiday period, namely December 25-December 28.
Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head (Persero) Lisye Octaviana said the hundreds of thousands of vehicles had passed through four barrier / main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (from Merak), Ciawi GT (from Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (from Trans Java) and Kalihurip Utama GT (from Bandung).
"The total volume of traffic returning to the Jabotabek area increased 33.71 percent when compared to normal traffic, namely 531,262 vehicles in the same period. When compared to the 2022 Christmas period, the total volume of traffic increased 9.62 percent or 647,998 vehicles," Lisye said in a written statement, quoted on Saturday, December 30.
Lisye said, as many as 171,839 vehicles had returned to Jabotabek from the direction of Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. This figure also increased by 62.43 percent from normal traffic.
Next, there were 176,404 vehicles returned to Jabotabek from the direction of Bandung via the Kalihurip Utama GT Cipularang Toll Road.
"The total traffic returning to Jabotabek from the direction of Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs is 348,243 vehicles or an increase of 57.35 percent from normal traffic," he said.

Then, it was recorded that 195,536 vehicles returned to Jabotabek from Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road.
"Meanwhile, the number of vehicles returning to Jabotabek from Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 166,752 vehicles, an increase of 32.76 percent from normal traffic," he said.
Jasa Marga urges toll road users to anticipate the journey of the New Year 2024 holiday period well. Before entering the toll road, make sure the vehicle and driver are in top condition, continue to comply with health protocols (using masks) while in the rest area, ensure sufficient fuel, and electronic money balances and comply with signs and directions from officers in the field.
