One Decade Of Formula 1 Legend Accident Michael Schumacher
JAKARTA - Exactly 10 years ago or December 29, 2013, F1 legend Michael Schumacher experienced a tragic accident. The ski accident left him still lying in a coma until now and his life is a mystery.
The accident in Meribel changed Michael Schumacher's life and his family. He experienced a tragic event just one year after retiring as an F1 rider.
The tragedy began when Michael Schumacher and his family were skiing on the Christmas holidays. He was accompanied by his son, Mick (who was then 14 years old), at the Meribel mountain resort, France.
In fact, he is skiing at normal speed. However, Michael Schumacher crossed the marked line and lost control.
He then hit a rock and slipped. The collision made his helmet shattered and unconscious.
Michael Schumacher was immediately rushed to the hospital and fell into a coma. The news of his health was only known a year later or 2014.

The former Ferrari rider was conscious from a coma and was transferred to Lausanne's hospital in Switzerland. In September 2014, he was transferred back to his residence in Gland.
Michael Schumacher received treatment and attention from his wife, Corinna, and children, Gina Maria and Mick.
There, he gets a visit from several people, apart from his family. Ross Brawn, director at Benetton, Ferrari, and Mercedes, and Jean Todt boss in Ferrari's golden age, occasionally comes to watch F1 races with Michael Schumacher.
"He is different and extraordinaryly guided by his wife and children who protect him. His life is different now and I have the honor to share moments with him."
"That's all that can be said. Unfortunately, fate happened to him ten years ago. He is no longer the Michael we know in Formula 1," Brawn said recently at L'Equipe.
It has been 10 years since the tragic events in December 2013. Michael Schumacher has been in a coma until now because he was diagnosed with a brain traumatic injury.
There is no sign of recovery and his family is still keeping the condition of the former seven-time world champion a secret.
