British Female Footballer Gemma Wiseman Found Dead Before Christmas

JAKARTA - Gemma Wiseman, a British female footballer, died on December 16, 2023 local time. Gemma's body was found by the community in a park on the outskirts of Rackheath, Norfolk, England.

The examination of his death has now been opened at the Norfolk Examination Court.

Since Gemma's death, the GoFundMe page, a fundraising site, has raised 7,500 pounds, or around Rp. 148.3 million.

"His family and friends were devastated," the fundraising site was quoted as saying by The Sun.

"Gemma is a kind and caring person with a high sense of humor. Wherever he goes, he brings laughter and energy and easily makes friends with anyone who is lucky enough to meet him."

Gemma Wiseman died at the age of 33. He was recorded as helping the United Kingdom to win a bronze medal in the 2016 World Tunarungu Football Championships in Italy.

He was also part of the United Kingdom team that won bronze in 2013's Deaflympics in Bulgaria.

So far, the results of the Norfolk Court's examination in County Hall say the cause of Gemma Wiseman's medical death was due to a narrowing of the neck structure.
