Frustration At Al Expert, Steven Gerrard Interested In Boyong Firmino To Al Ettikaq
JAKARTA - Roberto Firmino has already taken steps to leave the Saudi Arabian Pro League. He looked frustrated at Al Expert after failing to be the first choice.
Firmino came to Al Expert earlier this season on a three-year contract after Liverpool was not extended. He earned a salary of 20 million euros or around Rp. 341.8 billion per season when he joined the team based at King Abdullah Sports City.
Initially, Firmino performed well with Riyad Mahrez, Franck Kessi, and Allan Saing-Maximin. He scored a hat trick in his debut against Al Hazem.
However, since now Firmino has struggled to score goals. He failed to score in 10 games and disappointed supporters.
Just six months in the Al Expert uniform, Firmino is reportedly starting to get frustrated. He is ready to leave Jeddah in January 2024 after playing 18 games.

In fact, Al Expert was willing to lend the Brazilian striker in the nearest transfer market. As a result, Firmino had an opportunity to return to Europe or Brazil.
English, Turkish, and Saudi Arabian clubs then showed interest in bringing Firmino.
However, so far only Al Ettikaq has been the most serious in showing interest in recruiting the 32-year-old player.
The Saudi Arabian Pro League club openly likes Firmino through the coach's statement, Steven Gerrard. Moreover, Gerrard, who is also a former Liverpool player, often monitors the striker when he is with the Red.
"I know Bobby (Roberto Firmino) very well, I am a big fan. I have been following him for years."
"Currently he is an Al Expert player so it was very difficult for me to comment on the situation."
"However, I've liked Bobby Firmino since the first day I saw him and I'm a big fan of him. He belongs to another club, so I'm not going to sit here and mention names," Gerrard said in talkSPORT.
Roberto Firmino left Liverpool at the end of the 2022/2023 season. After eight years of full trophies at Anfield, he joined the Expert because his position had been shifted and was no longer the main choice.
