President Hands Over El Nino Aid To KPM In North Sulawesi

MANADO - President Joko Widodo handed over assistance for the El Nino program to Beneficiary Families (KPM) in North Sulawesi Province.

The President said that rice assistance will not only be carried out until December 2023 but will continue until January, February and March 2024 and hopefully the assistance will help the people in South Sulawesi.

"The addition of the rice aid quota in the next three months is certain," said President Jokowi as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 28.

Then, he said, his party would look at the APBN budget, if it was still possible, rice assistance for beneficiaries would be added in three months, namely April, May, June 2024.

Recipients of PKH Manado City are very happy with the arrival of President Joko Widodo, after giving a speech and handing over the President's direct assistance, approaching the public to take selfies together.

On the sidelines of the activity, Jokowi also gave two bicycles to members of the Family Hope Program (PKH) after answering questions.

President Jokowi started his visit to North Sulawesi, to a market in Talaud Islands Regency to check the prices of a number of basic necessities.

After that, the President headed to North Bowombaru BTS to inaugurate the operation of BAKTI's 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) signal and internet access in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost villages (3T), as well as inaugurating the operation and integration of the Republic of Indonesia 1 (Satria-1) Satellite.

In addition, in the Talaud Islands, the President will also review the Karakelang Ring Road. From Talaud, President Jokowi is scheduled to leave for Manado City to hand over El Nino's Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) at the Manado Post Office.
