Belgian Citizen Dies In Gili Air, North Lombok, Suspected Of Heart Attack
A foreign national (WNA) from Belgium named Andy Alain N. Arnoys died while enjoying a vacation in the Gili Air tourist area, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), allegedly due to a heart attack.
"It is suspected that from the medical team who conducted the examination, the victim died allegedly due to heart disease," said Head of the Public Relations Section of the North Lombok Police, Ipda Made Wiryawan, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 28.
But his party has not been able to confirm the cause because they are still waiting for the results of the post-mortem from the Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital.
"So, we have evacuated the victim's body to the Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital. The body is still under medical examination, we are still waiting for the results," he said.
This sad news is certain that Made has also been known by the victim's wife who is a local resident.
"So, the victim's wife already knew about this, because when she died, the victim was on vacation with his wife. Later, the victim's family and the embassy will coordinate with his wife," he said.

The victim reportedly died on Thursday morning (28/12) while sleeping in a relaxed sitting position at the inn location in Gili Air, namely Oceans 5 Dive Resort.
The victim's wife, a local resident named Irene, initially tried to wake up the victim who seemed to sleep soundly. However, the victim at that time did not respond.
Worried about her husband's condition, Irene contacted the medical team in the Gili Air tourist area. However, from the results of the examination, it was stated that the victim had died.
The police who received the news of the death of a Caucasian from Belgium immediately went to the location and evacuated the body to the Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital.
The police also conducted the crime scene by asking for statements from witnesses who were at the location, and this case is still under investigation.
"We have obtained the results in the field and are now waiting for the results of the post-mortem and whether an autopsy will be carried out, cremated here, we are waiting for a decision from the victim's family," he said.
