Latest Earthquake, NTT Larantuka And Around Vibrating Occurrence Of 5.1 Magnitude
JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 rocked Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Thursday, at around 01.52 WIB, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported.
The earthquake was centered on land about 15 km southwest of NTT Larantuka Regency with a depth of 32 km at coordinates 10.08 south latitude and 123.78 east longitude. This was reported from the official website of MBKG such as being confiscated by Antara.
The earthquake was felt in Kupang City with a scale of III Modified Mercally Intensity (MMI). This means that the vibration is felt real in the house, the vibration feels as if the truck is passing.
BMKG appealed to residents to be aware of aftershocks that may occur.
