Tomorrow, The KPK Will Examine Wahyu Setiawan About Harun Masiku
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK will examine the former KPU commissioner, Wahyu Setiawan, on Thursday, December 28. The investigation relates to the investigation of the alleged bribery case of interim replacement (PAW) members of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period with the suspect Harun Masiku.
"The Investigative Team has scheduled the summons and examination of witness Wahyu Setiawan," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in his statement, Wednesday, December 27.
During the examination, Wahyu Setiawan will be a witness for the suspect Harun Masiku. The process of taking action is planned to take place at the KPK's Merah Putih building.
"The summons has been sent on December 22, 2023," said Ali.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the KPK, Nawawi Pomolango, confirmed that the settlement of a number of cases would be a priority, including the search for Harun Masiku, who is still at large.
According to him, the leadership has even signed a new search and arrest letter needed by the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK.
"All cases that are still and have such status (suspects such as Harun Masiku are still at large, red) will be a priority rather than the KPK," said Nawawi.

Nawawi said the KPK leadership had asked the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Rudi Setiawan, who had just been inaugurated regarding the settlement of this case. They also questioned Harun's search commitment.
"We asked him to handle the arrest of DPO Harun Masiku, the person concerned is committed," he said.
"That's why he asked for an update of the assignment letter to find HM and that's what he did so that we have issued the new letter product needed," continued Nawawi.
Harun Masiku is a suspect in giving bribes to former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan is still at large today. He became a suspect for allegedly bribing him into being a member of the DPR through the interim replacement mechanism (PAW).
He has been on the wanted list (DPO) since January 29, 2020. Most recently, the KPK informed that the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol Indonesia had issued a red notice on behalf of Harun Masiku on Friday, July 30.
In carrying out this search, the KPK has collaborated with a number of parties such as the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police and the Director General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham).
