Vice President Ma'ruf Reminds Religious Fatwa To Pay Attention To Aspects Of Solutions To Bring Kindness
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin reminded that the delivery of religious fatwas needs to pay attention to a number of aspects, namely providing solutions, easing, and bringing goodness.
This was conveyed by the Vice President when he opened the International Webinar of the Fiqih School of Science, Sheikh Nawawi Tanara (STIF Syentra) virtually from the Vice President's official residence in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 27.
"Continue to provide religious fatwas while still paying attention to valid and oriented manajul ifta who is looking for solutions to problems - makharijiy-, easing -at-taysir-, and bringing goodness to the public -rahmatan lil ummah-," said the Vice President in a written statement quoted by ANTARA.
Vice President Ma'ruf also emphasized the importance of preparing cadres of scholars who have the ability and competence as a mufti or fatwa giver.
"Universities and Islamic boarding schools have a strategic role in the preparation of these mufti clerical cadres. Therefore, it is necessary to take more proactive initiatives to carry out the program," asked the Vice President.
Furthermore, Ma'ruf also encouraged a stronger synergy and partnership between religious institutions that issue fatwas and government officials.
"So, state policies can be carried out more optimally because there is a basis for religious fatwas," said the Vice President.
