Anies Relax Reported To Bawaslu About The Lack Of Campaign Initial Funds

Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan responded casually when asked to comment on himself and vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar was reported to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

Anies-Cak Imin was reported to Bawaslu by a group on behalf of Lingkar Nusantara (Lisan) because the nominal initial campaign funds submitted to the KPU were only Rp. 1 billion.

"Yes, just report it. Hehehe," said Anies after attending the declaration of support for the HMI extended family in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Wednesday, December 27.

Anies also admitted that the nominal initial funds for his campaign in the 2024 presidential election were indeed the fewest of his two competing presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

However, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta believes that there will be many people who will give contributions to increase the amount of campaign funds with vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar.

"Hopefully (the nominal campaign funds will increase). This is indeed everywhere my friends move to joint ventures. Joint ventures are really everywhere," said Anies in North Jakarta, Wednesday, December 20.

For information, the KPU released the initial report of the campaign funds (LADK) for the three presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election on the infopemilu.go.id page. The initial funds for the Anies-Cak Imin campaign amounted to IDR 1 billion. The funds only came from the presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

Meanwhile, the initial funds for the Prabowo-Gibran campaign were recorded at the largest, namely Rp31.43 billion. The sources of funds, as much as Rp2 billion from candidate pairs, Rp600 million from political parties or coalitions of political parties in the form of goods, and Rp28.84 billion from a combination of political parties in the form of services.

Then, the initial funds for the Ganjar-Mahfud campaign amounted to Rp. 23.32 billion. The nominal consists of a candidate pair of Rp. 100 million in the form of money.

Then, there are also sources from political parties or coalitions of political parties in the form of money worth Rp2.95 billion, as well as donations from other individuals in the form of Rp1.6 million. Ganjar-Mahfud also received donations from other companies and/or non-governmental entities worth Rp20.32 billion.

Anies-Cak Imin's nominal campaign fund was reported to Bawaslu by Lisan. In her statement, the Chairman of Lisan, Hendarsam Marantoko, said that her party did not believe that Anies and Cak Imin only had initial funds for the campaign of Rp. 1 billion.

"When the AMIN pair only included the initial funds for the campaign of only Rp. 1 billion, it was very odd. If we try to calculate it roughly, the cost of renting a luxury office in an elite area, private jets for campaign activities for the 38th province, as well as billboards, is it possible to be sufficient with only 1 billion?" said Hendarsam.
