Admittedly Gemar Has A Dialogue Despite Different Opinions, Anies: Because He Wants To Respect Voters

Presidential candidate (candidate) number 1, Anies Baswedan admitted that he and his vice presidential candidate (cawapres) Muhaimin Iskandar like dialogue. Including people who have opposing views.

This was said by Anies at the declaration of support for the Islamic Student Association (KB HMI) for the candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 27.

"Gus Muhaimin and I chose to have a dialogue, chose to exchange ideas, including dealing with different views," Anies said in a written statement, confiscated by Antara.

Anies said the reason he likes to discuss and exchange ideas with people who have different views is because it is to clarify the information circulating in the community.

So, he continued, the public as voters in the 2024 presidential election can assess the results of the discussion.

"Because we want to respect voters, that choosing is not based on information in its nature, but based on ideas and ideas," said Anies.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) has received registrations for three presidential-cawapres candidates, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The election campaign period is set from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, while the voting is scheduled for February 14, 2024.
