Gibran Doesn't Matter The Rejection Banner In Solo, PDIP Claims Not To Know Who Installed It

SOLO - Prospective vice president number 2 and Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka admitted that he had no problem with the appearance of a banner against him that read "Solo Bukan Gibran".

"Yes, it's okay," said Gibran in Surakarta City, Central Java, quoted by ANTARA Wednesday, December 27.

In the midst of the emergence of his rejection, Gibran admitted that he was still optimistic that he could win many votes from the people of Surakarta City for the 2024 presidential election.

However, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo was reluctant to explain the target of obtaining votes for the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair in the 2024 presidential election.

"Yes, just be optimistic. Thank you," said Gibran briefly.

Previously, the chairman of the PDI-P DPC and former Surakarta mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo admitted that he did not know about the installation of the banner that read "Solo Bukan Gibran".

"I don't know, I don't know how to put it on koyo ngono. (I don't know, I've never installed it like that). Why take care of it like that," said Rudyatmo.

He also admitted that he did not know who put up the banner.

"The billboards are, yes, the presidential and vice presidential candidates are Ganjar-Mahfud, number 3 are voting. That's all we (PDI Perjuangan) made. If it's (Solo guide, not Gibran) who made it, I don't know," he explained.

According to him, instead of taking care of things that are not important, he chose to take care of the flagship program of candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

"Take care of the socialization of the Sakti KTP. That's enough," said Rudyatmo.

Sakti's ID card is one of the work programs carried by Ganjar-Mahfud to make it easier for the public to get access to education, health and business guarantees.
