There Are 120 Inmates Who Receive Special Remission For Christmas At The Tangerang Youth Prison
JAKARTA - Christmas is an important holiday for Christians around the world, including in Indonesia.
Christmas momentum is usually filled with various happiness and gathering with family. However, for prisoners (WBP) this cannot be done because they are carrying out their criminal period in prison.
However, in order to provide hope and happiness to Correctional Inmates who are state Christians, special remissions for those who meet the substantive and administrative requirements and have followed the coaching program well.

At the Class IIA Youth Prison in Tangerang itself, there were 120 Correctional Inmates who received Special Remission for Christmas in 2023, of which 1 person was immediately released after his criminal period was reduced by remission.
The Director of Community Guidance and Restorative Justice Efforts at the Directorate General of Corrections, Pujo Harinto, advised all inmates who received remission to be patient in following all stages, processes, and activities of coaching programs in the future.
"I congratulate this year's remission for all Correctional Inmates. I advise, show a better attitude and behavior in following all stages, processes, activities of coaching programs in the future. Especially for fellow inmates who have the freedom to return to the community, my family and relatives, I congratulate you on knitting the bonds of brotherhood and being a better person," he said. Head of the Correctional Division of the Banten Regional Office, Jalu Yuswa Panjang, said that the granting of special remissions on Christmas Day is the fulfillment of the rights of prisoners who are protected and stipulated by law.
"The mission you got today may be a trigger to stay behave and behave well and always obey prison/Rutan rules. It doesn't just stop there, changes in attitude and behavior towards good citizens and obey the law," said Jalu Yuswa Panjang.
