Fast Train Passengers Up 20 Percent During The Christmas And New Year Period
BANDUNG - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) revealed, during the past week during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays, the volume of users of high-speed train services named shot increased by about 20 percent.
KCIC General Manager Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa explained, in the period from 17 December 2023 to 23 December 2023, the high-speed train had served as many as 123,000 passengers, an increase of 20 percent compared to the same period in the previous week.
"The highest number of passengers served in one day so far, has reached 21 thousand passengers for departure December 23, 2023," Eva said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, December 24.
Eva added, to provide a different experience for high-speed train passengers at the station and travel during this year's end of the holiday, KCIC presents the legend Santa Claus (sinterclass) to entertain passengers by distributing a variety of attractive gifts, especially for child passengers.
This is done by KCIC with the intention that passengers feel the joy of Christmas 2023 and the excitement of year-end holidays when using high-speed trains.
In addition, the KCIC also installed various Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 ornaments in the station and high-speed train areas to add more lively atmospheres and different atmospheres.
"We present this to give happiness to passengers who celebrate Christmas and those who carry out holidays. Hopefully this activity can bring positive benefits and impacts to all," said Eva.
