These Are The Winners Of The FORWOT Cars And Motorcycles Of The Year 2023 Awards
JAKARTA - Recently, the Automotive Journalists Forum (FORWOT) announced the winner of the FORWOT Cars and Motorcycles of the Year 2023, consisting of 25 finalist cars from 3 categories and 10 finalist motorcycles from 2 categories.
In this event, it is presented in several categories. The cars consist of the Internal Cumbostion Engine (ICE), Hybrid, and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) categories. Meanwhile, motorcycles consist of ICE and BEV categories.
In the Cars of the Year 2023 ICE category, it was won by Chery Omoda 5 with 131 points, ahead of Honda HR-V 120 points, Mitsubishi Xforce 119 points, Wuling Alvez 100 points, and Hyundai Stargazer X with 80 points.
Then in the hybrid which is the latest category in this event, Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix won with 157 points, Wuling Almaz RS Hybrid with 103 points, Honda CR-V e: HEV 98 points, Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid 97 points, and Suzuki XL7 Hybrid with 95 points.

For the BEV category, Wuling Air ev won with 129 points, Hyundai Ioniq 6 with 116 points, Toyota bZ4X with 105 points, Kia EV6 GT-Line 101 points, and Neta V with 99 points.
"Through this award, we would like to appreciate the producers who have launched electrification technology who hope to help achieve the target of reducing emissions and growing the domestic automotive industry," said Indra Prabowo, General Chair of FORWOT, in an official statement received by VOI, Saturday, December 23.

Then for the Motorcycles of the Year 2023 ICE category, won by Yamaha XMAX Connected with 154 points, Honda ADV160 with 109 points, Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX with 106 points, Aprilia SR-GT 87 points, and Vespa GTV 300 getting 69 points.
Then, for the BEV category, Alva Cervo won with 142 points, followed by Yadea E8S Pro with 102 points, Vespa Electrica with 101 points, Gesits Raya G with 91 points, and Polytron Fox-R who won 89 points.
Each jury gives an assessment based on the design, comfort, Safety, Performance, Handling, Functionality, Driving Experience and Price indicators. In each category assessment, each jury is equipped with 25 points that must be distributed to finalists. The jury is allowed to give 10 points only to 1 model in each category. Judging is held behind closed doors, and prioritizes professionalism.
