Zulkifli Hasan Allegedly Harassing Religion, Will Be Reported To The Police

JAKARTA - The joking statement from the General Chairperson of PAN Zulkifli Hasan has a long tail. Because when Zulhaz is usually called, in his statement he contains elements of harassing Islam for personal and group political purposes. This is what will be reported to the police by the Council of Coalition for Young Activists (DKAM).

As is known through video recordings circulating and viral, Zulkifli Hasan said that currently there are changes in the behavior of some people when praying. "This statement is considered to have caused a commotion and chaos and hurt the hearts of Muslims throughout Indonesia," said Laa Aches Makento, Head of the Legal Team and Legal Reasoning DKAM.

His statement has drawn responses from various figures, one of whom is from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), KH. Cholil Nafis stated, "Zulhas' statement is not funny. This statement has the potential to cause chaos among Muslims," he told the media.

DKAM considered that what Zulhas had conveyed was inappropriate. Especially now that the KPU is holding elections and presidential elections. "It is very clear what Zulhas said caused a commotion. The use of religious symbols at political momentum should be avoided to maintain pluralism. We consider what Zulhas said was blasphemy," said Laa Aches Makento.

This, said Laa Aches, can be seen from his statement stating that the prayer movement has changed by no longer mentioning AMIN after the reading of the Al-Fatihah Letter, and the final takhiyatul no longer moving one finger, but already two fingers. "This is very fatal because we know that the majority of Muslims in Indonesia are very large, if Indonesian Muslims are angry, it will certainly cause national instability," he said.

"To avoid national instability and prevent it from happening, the Young Activists Coalition Council will take several steps and statements of attitude as follows; first we will conduct massive consolidation for future actions at the Police Headquarters Office to urge the National Police Chief to immediately process the statement from Zulkifli Hasan because he is suspected of having committed blasphemy," he said.

"The second will report to the National Police Headquarters to investigate Zulkifli Hasan's statement which is suspected of having committed blasphemy," said Laa Aches Makento, who hopes that what Zulhas did can be a lesson for others.
