Kaesang Chooses Nobar Candidate Debate In Balikpapan

BEKASI - The General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party, Kaesang Pangarep, will not provide his support directly to the vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the vice presidential debate at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta.

Kaesang chose to watch together (nobar) the vice presidential debate with PSI cadres in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan.

"Mas Kaesang happened to be unable to attend the KPU tomorrow because he was going to East Kalimantan, Balikpapan. God willing, Mas Kaesang will be there," said PSI Secretary General Raja Juli Antoni in Cikarang, West Java, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 21.

Raja Juli also explained that the vice presidential debate event will be held by Kaesang on the sidelines of a series of PSI campaign activities on Borneo Island.

According to him, even though he was not present directly to the debate location, Kaesang would continue to provide his moral and spiritual support for the smooth running of his eldest brother.

"Mas Kaesang will pray and support Gibran in tomorrow's vice presidential debate to run smoothly," he said.

According to him, the debate on the vice presidential candidate held by the KPU is very important to know the quality of each candidate so that it can be considered for the community in choosing a leader in the future.

The theme of the vice presidential debate this time discussed economic problems including the people's economy and the digital economy, finance, investment, tax, trade, management of the APBN and APBD, infrastructure, and urban areas.
