National Police Chief Sigit Says 30,878 Personnel Will Be Moved Gradually To IKN

The National Police have prepared a plan to gradually transfer 30,878 personnel to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) of East Kalimantan.National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the transfer of Polri personnel was carried out in four stages."In the first stage, 1,667 personnel were deployed, then 9,484 people. Then in the third stage there were 9,685 people and the fourth stage was 9,678," said Sigit in a statement while attending the groundbreaking for the construction of the IKN Police, quoted from Antara, Thursday, December 21.The figure of 30,878 personnel was obtained from the addition of personnel who were transferred from the first stage to the fourth stage. For personnel who fill the IKN Special Police Area, 708 people will be prepared.According to him, the 708 police officers who filled out the IKN Police had gone through an assessment at the East Kalimantan Regional Police.The National Police Chief accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to groundbreaking the Special Police for the Archipelago Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan (Kaltim)."While waiting for the construction process and the determination of the organizational structure, these personnel are already at the East Kalimantan Regional Police and we are distributing them to the buffer police," he said.Sigit ensured that the National Police would continue to oversee all policies of President Jokowi, including the development of the IKN area.
"The National Police is of course committed to mobilizing all the resources we have to oversee all policies of the President, especially overseeing the development of the capital city of the archipelago," said Sigit.
