Yance Sayuri Cancels Joining TC Indonesian National Team In Turkey, Injuries Haven't Recovered So Reason
JAKARTA - PSM Makassar player, Yance Sayuri, canceled joining the Indonesian national team in the training camp (TC) agenda in Turkey. His name was crossed out and failed to leave in preparation for the 2023 Asian Cup due to unfavorable conditions.
In fact, Shin Tae-yong has called 29 names of players for TC in Turkey which will start on December 20, 2023. Yance Sayuri is one of the members on the list.
He should have joined 18 players who first left for Turkey on Wednesday morning, December 20, 2023, after gathering the day before to undergo medical tests. However, on the day of departure, Yance failed to leave because he was still injured.
Shin Tae-yong initially called 29 players to fill the Indonesian national team squad who will undergo a training camp (TC) in Turkey. However, Yance Sayuri canceled leaving for Turkey because she was still injured," PSSI wrote in an official statement quoted on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
Seeing his non-primary condition, Yance was clearly knocked out of the list of candidate players Shin Tae-yong will field in the 2023 Asian Cup on 12 January-10 February 2024 in Qatar.
Because, previously the coach said that one of the requirements for players to qualify for the first team was not to be injured.

"To enter my criteria (in the first team), the first must have no injuries," explained Shin Tae-yong about the criteria for the shot player.
Those who are wanted must also want to sacrifice for the team. So, they are the ones who can enter the Indonesian national team later (in the 2023 Asian Cup)," continued the coach.
The moment Yance failed to defend the Indonesian national team is not the first time this has happened. He had experienced the same situation, which failed to appear ahead of Brunei Darussalam in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in October 2023.
