YG Entertainment Says G-Dragon BIGBANG Exclusive Contract Is Over
JAKARTA - G-Dragon and YG Entertainment officially ended their exclusive contract. The agency opened its voice regarding the artist's contract status after he was reportedly looking for a new agency.
Wednesday, December 20, G-Dragon is said to be considering joining the Galaxy Corporation. At the same time, the company explained that it would hold a press conference related to a drug case that dragged the name G-Dragon.
Not only that, the company also explained G-Dragon's plans for 2024 and said the singer named Kwon Ji Yong would be absent from the press conference.
Meanwhile, a number of media reported that G-Dragon was considering returning to YG Entertainment. Their contract is said to have been completed by the middle of this year, but the agency released a new statement that their contract was over.
"This is YG Entertainment. G-Dragon is a representative artist from our agency and has been with us since debuting with BIGBANG in 2006 is an honor," YG Entertainment said.

This statement indicates that G-Dragon officially ended his contract with YG Entertainment. Their contract expires in June this year, but at that time YG said that their contract was complete.
