Nunukan Police Destroy 7 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine, Ecstasy And Synthetic Cannabis

A total of 15.7 kilograms of drugs from methamphetamine, 71 ecstasy pills and 17 bottles of liquid containing synthetic marijuana were destroyed at the Nunukan Police Headquarters, North Kalimantan (Kaltara).

Nunukan Police Chief, AKBP Taufik Nurmandia, said the three drug evidences were the result of the disclosure of the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satreskoba) of the Nunukan Police for the period August to December.

"This evidence is the result of the disclosure of 3 cases from August to December 2023 with 9 police reports," said Taufik, Wednesday, December 20.

The police chief said that from the evidence, 1.5 grams had been set aside, 1 ecstasy pill and 1 liquid bottle for evidence at the District Court (PN).

"From the disclosure of this case, the police arrested dozens of suspects, namely 17 men and 2 women," he explained.

The destruction of evidence of methamphetamine and liquid liquid was carried out by dissolving it into the water.

"The ecstasy pills (ineks) were destroyed by being blended and dissolved into the water and then thrown into the ditch," he said.

The police chief explained that the disclosure of the smuggling of drugs from Malaysia, including 7 kg of methamphetamine, was successfully secured from a woman with the initials NJ (32), from Makassar City (Sulsel) who was then above KM Lambelu to Parepare.

"At that time the ship was anchored at Tunon Port Taka Nunukan. From the results of the search of its luggage, 7 packs of crystal methamphetamine were found in a plastic packaging of Chinese tea Guanyinwang. Each pack contains 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine with a total of 7 kilograms of evidence secured. NJ, admitted that he had twice been a meth courier. First, NJ brought 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine which was stored in the stomach and wrapped with stagn," he explained.

Then, 71 ecstasy pills were secured from three suspects, namely RI, HE, and PA.

"One of the perpetrators, namely RI, has the status of an ASN who is known to work at the UPTD Bapenda Samsat Nunukan Service who was arrested on Wednesday, (13/9), he is a dealer and owner," he said.

According to RI, this ecstasy was purchased for RM 50 or approximately Rp. 165,000 per item. Meanwhile, the perpetrators sell it in certain circles for Rp. 500 thousand per item.

"For evidence of liquid liquid containing synthetic marijuana, it was secured from three suspects, namely IL, ZU, and MU on (11/9/2023) then on Dolphin Street. Per bottle was purchased in Malaysia RM 200, while the perpetrators sold it in Nunukan for IDR 1.3 million per bottle," said Taufiq.
