EV Newcomparation In Indonesia: Wuling BinguoEV Vs Neta V
JAKARTA - Currently, the Indonesian automotive industry is being flooded by various vehicle manufacturers from China that introduce the latest electric car (EV). Wuling also enlivened the local market by launching BinguoEV, following the trend of Air EV popularity.
This electric-powered hatchback is expected to support Wuling's sales in this segment, although it must compete with other rivals who are already present in Indonesia, Neta V who come from the same country.
Neta V first entered the country during the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) exhibition. Like other electric models, Neta V received a positive response which is now quite popular.
These two brands are considered to have fierce competition in the Indonesian electric car market. The question is, which model is superior? Here are the comparisons based on VOI searches, Wednesday, December 20:
The size of the vehicle is a crucial aspect that determines how wide and comfortable vehicle users are. Both models offer a five-seater configuration and have identical dimensions.
Wuling BinguoEV excels with a length of 3,950 mm, a width of 1,708 mm, a height of 1,580 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. The baggage capacity is also wide, reaching 790 liters. Meanwhile, Neta V has a length of 4,070 mm, a width of 1,690 mm, a height of 1,540 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,420 mm, and a baggage capacity of 552 liters.
In terms of driving performance, Neta V is superior with electric motors that produce up to 70 kW of power and 150 Nm of torque, capable of reaching the highest speed of 100 km/hour. Wuling BinguoEV is equipped with an electric motor with up to 50 kW of power and 150 Nm of torque for the Long Range variant, and 125 Nm for Premium Range. Even though the power is lower, this hatchback can reach a speed of 130 km/hour.
In terms of range power, Wuling BinguoEV is superior to the Premium Range variant which uses a 37.9 kWh lithium ferro-phosphate battery, providing a distance of up to 410 km. While Neta V uses a lithium-ion battery with the same capacity of 37.9 kWh, it reaches 401 km.

Wuling offers two options for BinguoEV at different prices, ranging from Long Range for Rp358 million to Premium Range for Rp408 million On The Road DKI Jakarta. Meanwhile, Neta only provides one variant for the 'V' model at a price of Rp379 million on The Road DKI Jakarta, which has been set since its launch at GIIAS 2023.
These two EV models present affordable environmentally friendly mobility options in their segments. In many aspects, Wuling BinguoEV dominates by offering various attractive features and technologies. Even so, Neta V can be an attractive alternative for consumers who are looking for electric vehicles with competitive distance. The last option still depends on the needs and preferences of Indonesian consumers.
