BPH Migas Appeals For People Who Want To Go Home For Christmas And New Year

JAKARTA - Member of the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Saleh Andurrahman advised the public to refuel their vehicles before traveling during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays.

"For people who will travel, it is certainly better to fill the car tank as much as possible so that it can reduce the potential for queues to be restated in the area," Saleh said in the Energy Corner, Tuesday, December 19.

Not only fuel, Saleh asked the travelers to check the condition of the vehicle.

"It's good if you fill it up (BBM) if you want to walk. For example, to Bali or Jogja is filled in Jakarta full and can be more relaxed on the way," added Saleh.

Meanwhile, for the Christmas and New Year holidays, BPH Migas and Pertamina alerted 114 fuel terminals, more than 7,400 gas stations, and 71 DPPUs, and alerted additional facilities in areas with high demand.

As for the supply of LPG, 23 terminals, 667 SP(P)BE and 4,972 LPG agents were alerted.

The condition of LPG's stock is maintained stable during the Christmas and New Year periods, as well as preparing LPG agents and LPG bases to be on standby 24 hours specifically for areas that are expected to have high demand.

Furthermore, for gas networks (gas networks), in general, gas distribution from 29 Working Areas consisting of 24 KKKS to meet the needs of the community which is estimated to reach 897 BBTUD during the Christmas and New Year periods to 3,019 commercial and industrial customers, 1,967 small customers, 834,165 household customers, as well as power customers including PLN Group by optimizing natural gas networks and infrastructure of more than 31,000 km, 13 SPBG and 3 MRU managed by PGN, with a capacity of 177,750 LSP, reliable and secure.
