Toyota Presents The First Ultra Fast Charging 120 And 150 KW In DIY And Sumatra

JAKARTA - PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) is expanding the coverage of the Toyota xEV Ecosystem by presenting DC Ultra Fast Charging (UFC) with 120 kW in the official Toyota Nasmoko Bantul, Yogyakarta and Dunia Barusa, Aceh.

This step is in line with the IT'S TIME FOR EVERYONE initiative towards carbon neutrality, Toyota presents technology and environmentally friendly vehicles including electrified vehicles (xEVs). Now, in total, there are more than 74 Toyota charging stations spread across various dealers and public places throughout Indonesia. This figure is targeted to continue to grow until the end of 2024 will be available on all Toyota dealers networks in Indonesia.

"The presence of DC 120 kW Ultra Fast Charging (UFC) at the Toyota Nasmoko Yogyakarta and UFC DC 150 kW dealers at the Dunia Barussa Aceh diler, is expected to facilitate the mobility of customers in urban areas and increase the mobility reach of BEV and PHEV Toyota for inter-city travel, especially in the Yogyakarta and Aceh regions that have many tourist sites," explained Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Anton Jimmi Suwandy, in an official statement received, Tuesday, December 19.

Given Total Mobility Solution, Toyota xEV Ecosystem was built to provide convenience to customers, who service ID and recharging BEV and PHEV batteries at Toyota's official workshop. As of November 2023, there were 74 official Toyota dealers in Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara that had charging spot facilities.

Meanwhile, for these two places, one Ultra Fast Charging unit is available in both dealers, equipped with 3 types of CCS2, CHAdeMO and AC Type 2 (22 kW) gun chargers that can be used by Toyota and Lexus customers for free. This BEV battery refill and PHEV Toyota features a charging dualization of 080 percent between 3045 minutes.

Toyota xEV Ecosystem will continue to be built to support customer mobility. It is planned that by 2024, Toyota outlets throughout Indonesia will have charging spots with UFC units in several outlets and other strategic places on large islands in Indonesia.

In addition, Toyota will build more UFC 120 kW in several major city malls including Jakarta, along with AC Charger which is tailored to the allocation in the mall. To increase the range BEV and PHEV Toyota, there will be an additional 120 kW UFC unit with AC Charger 7 kW and 22 kW in other rest areas.
