Police Arrest Smuggler 6 Kg Of Marijuana From Aceh To Bogor

Bogor City Police, West Java Police have arrested seven perpetrators of smuggling 6 kilograms of marijuana for supplies of circulation on New Year's Eve supplied from Aceh via an expedition from the Medan area, North Sumatra.

"This is the result of the collaboration between the central Customs and Excise, the Customs and Excise of Bogor City and the expedition party as well, so that they managed to reveal the perpetrators behind, who ordered, or who will distribute, or the owner of 6 kilograms of marijuana, the 6 kilograms of marijuana were originally intended to be used for the new year," said Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Bismo Teguh Prakoso. reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 18.

Kombes Bismo explained that the smuggling failed because the perpetrators consisted of seven people, planning to pick up a package of expedition shipments before they arrived. They are TP (31), YG (21), EFS (18), and Z (25) a network of local marijuana dealers in Bogor, along with MF (30), F (32) and JS (32) a national marijuana dealer network.

The police, who were aware of the suspicion of the perpetrators' intention to intercept an expedition on the road from the Customs and Excise side, also visited the location on Jalan AMD Cibentang, Kahuripan Village, Ciseeng District, Bogor Regency on Wednesday (6/12) at 16.00 WIB.

"At the location, we arrested two suspects with 6 kilograms of evidence. From this arrest, the Bogor City Police managed to save approximately 10 thousand people from drug trafficking," said Bismo.

Head of Drugs at the Bogor City Police, Kompol Eka Candra, explained that these perpetrators had smuggled marijuana four times. Smuggling ranged from 1 kilogram, until the last one was caught 6 kilograms.

They, said Kompol Eka, plan to distribute marijuana on New Year's Eve in the Bogor City area.

The evidence that was secured from the suspects was a total of 7.4 kilograms, the findings at the Ciseeng location and the rest of the evidence that had been with them.

"Meanwhile, 6 kilograms at the location and the rest may be the previous results. We are currently developing this drug network case to Medan. We are in a hurry," said Eka.

Kompol Eka stated that the Bogor City Police Narcotics Unit would tighten supervision of drug trafficking ahead of Christmas and New Year's Day 2024 to maintain public order.

"We always monitor it, until New Year's Eve we will check and monitor the field," he said.

To the seven perpetrators, they were charged with criminal penalties Law number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics articles 114 paragraphs 1 and 2 with a maximum threat of 20 years and a maximum fine of IDR 800 million and a maximum of IDR 8 billion.
