AMIN NATIONAL TEAM: Anies No Plan To Visit IKN

JAKARTA - National Team Captain Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMEN National Team) Muhammad Syaugi Alaydrus said that until now there has been no plan from presidential candidate (candidate) number 1 Anies Baswedan to visit the capital city of the archipelago (IKN). Even though the Anies-Muhaimin pair echoed the idea that if elected they would review the previous government's decision to challenge IKN.

"Until now (there has been no agenda for IKN)," said Syaugi in Jakarta, Saturday, when asked about the other two candidates who visited IKN.

Syaugi emphasized that Anies' attitude for the IKN project in Kalimantan has often been expressed and he feels that this has been repeated by the presidential candidate number 1.

So that the AMIN national team, continued Syaugi, follows the view of the candidate, which is more important than building a city that is not felt directly by the community.

"Mr. Anies has often answered the IKN problem," said the former Indonesian Air Force fighter pilot.

Syaugi added that his party could not confirm whether it would go to IKN or not, but the point was related to the IKN problem, the Anies presidential candidate was still conducting a study before determining whether it would be continued or not.

"So we'll see if there is a plan there or not. But what Mr. Anies said will be reviewed first, that's the point," said Syaugi.

Previously, the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia had appointed three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates as participants who contested the 2024 General Election.

The three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates are Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar with serial number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.

After that, the KPU determined that the campaign period was scheduled to take place from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024. The next stage is the voting scheduled for February 14, 2024.
