1,905 Personnel Involved In New Year's Christmas Security In East Kalimantan

In order to ensure a sense of security for the community during the Christmas and New Year celebrations (Nataru), the East Kalimantan Police deployed at least 1,905 joint personnel. In addition, the East Kalimantan Police will also establish 72 security and community services posts during the Nataru holiday season.

"The East Kalimantan Police carried out the Candle Operation by involving 1,905 personnel from the police and the regional police assisted by the Kodam, from the Korem, the provincial government also helped all," said the Deputy Chief of the East Kalimantan Police, Brigadier General Pol Mujiyono in a statement Thursday, December 14.

For the establishment of security posts, service posts, and integrated posts will be placed in every vulnerable point to make it easier for the community if they need assistance.

Mujiyono appealed to the public not to bring striking items, or valuables if they were going to go home to their hometowns.

"For travelers, please don't be striking, just the usual ones. If you have valuables, don't take them home, don't take them away, just keep them in a safe place," he concluded.
