Alphabet Offers Gemini, At More Affordable Prices
JAKARTA - Alphabet, Google's parent company, is trying to attract developers to build on its artificial intelligence platform. On Wednesday, December 13, the company announced the immediate availability of its latest version of Gemini's most advanced artificial intelligence model. They will also drop prices.
Gemini, introduced by Google owners a week ago, has three versions capable of processing various forms of information such as video, audio, and text.
The company stated that Gemini was capable of more sophisticated reasoning and understanding information with a higher level of nuances compared to previous technologies.
Gemini prices have been cut to half to a quarter of the costs imposed in June, the company announced on Wednesday.

In addition, the company provides a set of tools for developers to customize their own versions of Gemini, as well as two new products that will soon use this technology. One of them focuses on computer programming assistance, while the other is focused on the company's security operations. A second version of the image generation model will also be available to developers tomorrow.
Alphabet explains that there are three versions of Gemini, each designed to use different amounts of processing power. The most powerful version is designed to run in the data center, while the smallest one can run efficiently on mobile devices, the company explains.
Since OpenAI's ChatGPT launch about a year ago, Google has been racing to develop artificial intelligence software that can rival what the Microsoft-backed company has introduced.
