Kia Sonet Facelift Appears In India, Here's The Change

JAKARTA - Kia, an automotive manufacturer from South Korea, officially introduced a facelift Sonet model in India. This car underwent a reshuffle of the exterior body and is equipped with some of the latest features in it.

Reported by RushLane, Thursday, December 14, Sonet received a design revision in the front fasia section, with a larger DRL LED and a redesigned front grip, equipped with a horizontal LED for fog lighting.

The back design also underwent changes with a rear light that did not have a connecting bar in its center, and a rear bumper that was redesigned to perform stronger. Kia also introduced the latest alloy rims in two 16-inch designs for several different trims.

Moving to the inside, the only change is the cluster of digital instruments which is now standard equipment, in line with the latest Seltos.

Other features of Kia Sonet Facelift 2024 include automatic temperature controllers, rear air conditioning ventilation, rear solar shielding, internal air cleaning, 8-inch or 10.2-inch infotainment display with the support of a wireless and wired Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, steering control, one panel of sunscreen, key entry, start button, and other equipment.

The manufacturer also added a front camera to provide 360-degree visuals, helping motorists view the area around the vehicle more easily. Active safety features include the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) level 1 with 10 features in it.

Despite the changes, Sonet still maintains previous machine options, including the G1.2L 4-cylinder petrol option with a magnitude of 80 dk and a torque of 115 Nm with a manual transmission of five accelerations. In addition, there is also a turbo gasoline option with a 1.0 liter 3-cylinder GDI with 116 dk and a 172 Nm torque with a choice of transmission of six manual accelerations and a dual-clutch of seven accelerations. The last diesel option is a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine with 112 dk power and a 250 Nm torque.

Kia Sonet is offered in several trims, including THE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+, GT Line, and X Line. Orders will open in India starting December 20.
