Yamaha Presents A Clean Drinking Water Processing System To Safety Riding Education For Children
JAKARTA - Yamaha shows its commitment to improving the quality of life of the community, not only through motorcycle products to support mobility, but also through the provision of clean drinking water treatment systems in various remote areas in Indonesia, in collaboration with several partners, including the Japanese Embassy in Indonesia.
Real evidence of the efforts to procure a clean drinking water processing system is the installation of 14 units of various types of Yamaha Clean Water (YCW) machines by Yamaha Motor Nuansa Indonesia (YMNI) in various regions since 2010.
YMNI is not only limited to the installation of YCW units, but is also actively building public awareness about the importance of clean water and drinking water in everyday life. This is done through educational activities in two State Elementary Schools (SDN) in areas where YCW units are installed. This program has been proven to have a positive impact, improving the quality of life of rural communities in terms of health and economic productivity.
"Based on this, Yamaha and our partners have returned to Cikadu Village, Purwakarta, to provide education from an early age regarding the importance of clean water and drinking water to all of you," said Takeshata Naotaka as President Director of PT Yamaha Motor Nuansa Indonesia (YMNI) who also serves as Vice President Director, PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg, in an official statement received, Thursday, December 14.
As a form of realization of this commitment, on December 12-13, YMNI held an event titled Yamaha Learn & Play which was first held at SDN Wanasari 1 Karawang and SDN Cikadu, Purwakarta.

At the Yamaha Learn & Play event, education about the importance of clean water and drinking water was conveyed to students through a story method called Kamishibai, using interesting picture papers. In addition, children are invited to play rugby, football, and badminton with sports equipment donated by YMNI. This sports session was attended by two former rugby athletes from Japan.
Educational activities are getting more and more interesting with the Yamaha Riding Academy (YRA) Kids activities being hosted by instructors. In this session, students not only gained knowledge about motorbikes and safety on the road, but were also able to try driving on a YRA Kids test motorbike, namely Yamaha PW-50 with a 50cc engine capacity.
This vehicle test session not only provides entertainment to students, but also provides a hands-on experience.
"Children are very entertained and gain a lot of useful knowledge. This is expected to build their awareness from an early age to establish a healthy lifestyle and comply with the safety principles of driving on public roads," said Lilis, Principal of SDN Cikadu, Purwakarta.
