The Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance is auctioning 32 lots of State Property (BMN) from gratuities.
In addition to gratuities, there are 22 lots of confiscated goods by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which were auctioned off at the KPK's request.
The auction, which is carried out by intermediary of the Jakarta III State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL), is part of a series of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) 2023 organized by the KPK.
Head of the State Asset Management Sub-Directorate III DJKN Swastiko Purnomo said the ex-gratification items that were auctioned were PS 5, luxury bags and watches, precious metals, and diamond-edged rings. These items are gratification items received by civil servants or state administrators and reported to the KPK.
These items, continued Swastiko, by the KPK have determined the status of ownership of gratuities to belong to the State.
This BMN is then handed over to DJKN managed by means of a sales mechanism through an auction with the consideration of obtaining Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).
In addition to sales through auctions, BMN originating from gratification items can also be managed in the form of Determination of Use Status (PSP) to support the implementation of Ministry/Institutional tasks and functions, destruction or elimination, and grants.
Swastiko added that the auction participants who participated in this auction were a form of public support to the government in law enforcement and contributed to state revenues in the form of PNBP.
On the same occasion, Director of Gratification and Public Service, Herda Helmijaya, also expressed his appreciation to the auction participants.
And community participation in this auction shows the spirit of synergy to jointly create Indonesia free from corrupt practices.
Herda added that this aspect of synergy must be put forward in efforts to eradicate corruption, including the handling of gratuities, such as the 2023 Hakordia theme, namely "Synergy to Fight Corruption for Advanced Indonesia".
