Music Promoter Urges Indonesian Musicians To Copy Overseas About Setlists
Anas Alimi as the founder of Rajawali Indonesia talked about his experience as a music promoter who has held concerts for domestic or foreign musicians.
Anas said there was a big difference in how musicians provided a setlist to promoters. He said what foreign musicians did was still much better.
"This is educational for fellow music organizers. We get a setlist (outer-of-country musician) usually two weeks before the concert, no later. And then we already know what the setlist is," said Anas Alimi in Gondangdia, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, December 13.
"Well, the difference is that here (domestic musicians), the setlist can be obtained hours before the event, and that can change," he continued.
Regarding the list of performers, said Anas, it is closely related to how promoters or music organizers pay royalties.

"Indeed, the industry and the system there are extraordinary. They did the billing already know what the artist would bring," said Anas Alimi.
"I think this can be learned by Indonesia, what if the gig or performance musician has clear any song. So it becomes the basis for billing for LMK," he concluded.
