Debt Becomes The Motive For The Murder Of Women Found In Cikarang

JAKARTA - The police arrested AMW (35), a suspect in the murder case of JS (25) by being poisoned using rat poison. Based on the results of the examination, the motive behind it was because he was upset that he was often billed for debt.

"The suspect borrowed money from the victim. Then over time it got closer and when the suspect was repeatedly asked to return the money and was also asked to be held accountable, the suspect could not receive the request properly than the victim," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Samian to reporters, Wednesday, December 13.

The suspect's debt to the victim was initially Rp. 2 million. However, over time, the nominal increased to Rp. 6 million.

"That the AMW perpetrator borrowed money from the victim JS initially 2 million and in the end the total loan was approximately 6 million," he said.

Nevertheless, Samian added, his party is still investigating the increasing amount of debt. Regarding interest or indeed other loans by the suspect.

"For the loan borrowed by the perpetrator, that initially 2 million, then 6 million before this incident, when we collect it, we are still investigating whether the initial loan of 2 million plus the following loans, of course later we will examine witnesses who can explain that," said Samian.

The woman JS was found dead in a pathetic condition in her house in the Cikarang area, Bekasi, Friday, December 8. Her feet, hands, and mouth were taped.

The results of the investigation, JS was killed by being poisoned using rat poison by AMW.

In this case, the suspect is charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code and or Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder. Thus, it is threatened with the death penalty or life imprisonment.
