The Official E3 Game Exhibition Is Permanently Closed, Here's The Reason!
JAKARTA - Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), an annual trade show for the video game industry presented by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has finally been officially closed permanently.
In a report published by The Washington Post, ESA has confirmed the truth about the closure of the E3 event. Thus, this exhibition will no longer exist in the years to come.
"After more than two decades of hosting events that have served as a central exhibition for the US and the global video game industry, ESA has decided to end E3," said Stanley Pierre-Louis, president and CEO of a non-profit trade association representing the interests of the gaming industry in the United States, quoted Wednesday, December 13.
Furthermore, Pierre-Louis added that their new method of reaching the audience is through previously recorded live presentations or streaming.
We know the entire industry, players and creators share a lot of passion for E3. We share that passion. We know it's hard to say goodbye to this beloved event, but it's the right thing to do given the new opportunities our industry has to reach out to fans and partners."

Because according to him, currently companies or the game industry already have access to consumers and business relationships in various different ways, including their respective exhibitions.
"One of these big companies can make individual showcases, as well as partner with other industrial events to showcase the breadth of the game," he said.
He later added that although the popularity of E3 has continued to decline in recent years, his absence has benefited the industry in other ways.
"It's interesting to our industry, and that means it's an opportunity for them to explore how to engage new audiences in different ways," he concluded.
