Uniforms Released, Situbondo Police Officer Disrespectful Fired For Drugs
Situbondo Police Chief AKBP Dwi Sumrahadi Rakhmanto dismissed the disrespect of one of his members for being involved in a narcotics case.
"We consider the Army Brigadier to have committed a serious violation. We are doing this as an effort to protect the National Police institution so that in the future it will be better," said the Police Chief, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 11.
Disrespectful dismissal of its members involved in drug cases is the last resort after various processes have been passed, ranging from coaching, prevention, and giving punishments ranging from light to severe.
Polri merupakan organisasi besar sebagai penegak hukum dan seharusnya setiap anggota Polri menjadi contoh bagi masyarakat, bukan justru memberikan contoh tidak baik.
"If we violate the law, we should be ashamed, because we knowingly and without coercion choose the path of service and profession within the Indonesian National Police," said AKBP Dwi S Rakhmanto.
The police chief said that the number of cases of violations by members during 2023 was recorded as 12 members who violated the code of ethics and discipline.
In detail, eight members violated the code of ethics and the other four members violated discipline.
Of the eight cases of violation of the code of ethics, some of them were cases from the previous year which were processed in 2023.

"I am committed to really enforcing the rules, both discipline and code of ethics for members who commit violations with the intention of giving another example so as not to do the same thing," said the Police Chief.
"Recognized since the beginning of my tenure, I will not tolerate members who like to commit violations or criminal acts," he added.
Brigadier AD was dishonorably dismissed for being involved in a drug case, and until now he is still serving a sentence at the Situbondo Class IIB State Detention Center.
