Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia 2023 Successfully Held At Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit

JAKARTA - The 2023 Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia was successfully held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on Sunday, December 10.

The event managed to attract interest from automotive lovers, especially supercars. Various surprises appeared in this event, including the presence of the Indonesian Race 2 TCR (Touring Car Race) and the Porsche Sprint Challenge Endurance Race.

"The extraordinary success of the 2023 Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, is not only a spectacular racing party, but also records proud achievements. The proud collaboration of ITDC's grandson, MGPA, together with Superstars, and IMI created a historic moment on the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit track," said ITDC Operations Director Troy War

On the same occasion Maya Watono, Director of Marketing and Tourism Program of PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney, said that the success of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia is one proof that InJourney as a Tourism BUMN Holding and its supporters, is always committed to presenting various racing events.

"Being a tangible manifestation that is always committed to presenting various varied racing events to strengthen NTB's image as a sport and entertainment destination in Indonesia," he said.

Drivers from the Red and White Semen team, Hendrik Jaya Soewatdy and John Kwon, grabbed the third podium with a record time that was thin with Aldio Oekon, which was 47 minutes 13 seconds. Starting the endurance race from the third position managed to secure his position until the end of the race on the last day.

The Managing Director of MGPA Priandhi Satria expressed his satisfaction, especially the extraordinary performance of the Rizqy Motor Sport team who won the first podium in the Endurance Race.

"We also appreciate all the participating racers, including Aldio Oekon from the Citadel Racing Team and Hendrik Jaya Soewatdy and John Kwon from the Semen Merah Putih team, for their dedication and high competitive spirit. We hope that this success can be a motivation for the development of the automotive racing world in Indonesia and further strengthen Indonesia's position in the international motorsport arena," he explained.

In addition to presenting the actions of drivers in the Endurance Race class, the 2023 Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia also presented the Indonesian Race TCR which lasted for the last 2 days, where the driver of the Simple Motorsport LFN team, M. Ferrel Fadhil Pratama managed to maintain the first podium with a time of 29 minutes 29 seconds.

Meanwhile, the second podium was won by Dypo Fitramadhan from the Bank BJB Delta Garage Racing Team team, which in the previous race was in fourth position with a time difference of 30 seconds. The third sodium was won by a driver from the BRM Motorsport team, Glenn Aringga Nirwan with a time difference of 29 seconds.
