KPK Examines Former Secretary Of The Directorate General Of Islamic Education Affandi Mochtar Regarding Bribery
JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators summoned the former Secretary of the Directorate General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religion, Affandi Mochtar.
He will be examined as a witness to complete the case files of the former commitment-making official (PPK) within the Directorate General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) UU Sumantri.
"Affandi Mochtar is being examined as a witness for USM (Sumantri) suspect", said the KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his written statement, Thursday, February 18.
In this case, UU is a suspect in the alleged corruption case for two procurements, namely the procurement of computer laboratory equipment for Madrasah Tsanawiyah and the procurement of communication systems development and integrated learning media for Madrasah Tsanawiyah and Madrasah Aliyah levels at the Directorate General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religion in 2011.
The KPK has named himself a suspect since December 16, 2019, but he was only detained on December 4, 2020.
Apart from the Law, the KPK has processed the Chairman of the Golkar Party Youth Force (AMPG) Fahd El Fouz, Member of Commission VIII House of Representatives (DPR) Zulkarnen Djabar, and his son, Dendy Prasetya. As a result, Zulkarnaen was sentenced to 15 years in prison, and Dendy was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Meanwhile, Fahd El Fouz was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
In this case, Zulkarnaen Djabar together with Dendy and the Chairman of the Young Generation of Mutual Cooperation Deliberation, Fahd El Fouz, influenced officials at the Ministry of Religion to win PT Batu Karya Mas (BKM) as the executor of the MTs Computer Lab Procurement Project in the 2011 Fiscal Year.
For their actions to help smooth the victory of PT BKM, the three of them received a flow of funds related to the project.
