BMW R 1300 GS 2024 Greets Philippine Market, Price Starts At IDR 470 Million

JAKARTA - After being introduced globally at the end of September, now BMW R 1300 GS 2024 is officially present in the Philippine market as the successor to R 1250 GS, which has previously been BMW Motorrad's top-of-the-line adventure motor.

Reported by Rideapart, this motorbike comes in four variants for the Philippine market, namely Light White, Triple Black, GS Trophy, and Option 719. The two standard trim levels are equipped with the latest technology offered by BMW.

BMW R 1300 GS comes with a new engine with a capacity of 1300 cc, which is known as a compact and lightweight boxer engine. This machine is capable of generating a power of 145 hp at 7,750 RPM and a torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 RPM.

In terms of appearance, this motorbike is equipped with LED lights on all sides, including four Daytime Running Lights (DRL) points. The comfort of the driver is also the focus, with the Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) feature which combines the front and rear suspension settings depending on the chosen driving mode and the condition of the motorcycle.

Drivers can choose from four driving modes that can be adjusted to road conditions, namely Rain, Road, Eco, and Enduro. Rain and Road modes are adjusted to road conditions, Eco for fuel efficiency, and Enduro is suitable for riders who like off-road adventures.

In terms of safety features, R 1300 GS is equipped with riding assistants, including Active Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, and Lane Change Warning. These three features contribute to the safety of motorists during long and close trips.

The price of this motorbike for the Philippine market starts at 1,675,000 Peso or around Rp470 million for the Light White variant. The Triple Black variant is valued at around 1,695,000 Peso or around Rp476 million. Meanwhile, GS Trophy sells for 1,715,000 Peso or Rp481 million, and the highest variant, Option 719, reaches 1,855,000 Peso or around Rp520 million.
