Since November 24, 2023, 6,603 Families In Ketapang Regency Have Been Affected By Floods
JAKARTA - Flood disasters until Saturday, December 9, according to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) have affected 6,603 families consisting of 20,916 people in the Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan Province.
According to a BNPB press release in Jakarta, Saturday, high-intensity rain caused river water to overflow and flood residential areas in six sub-districts in Ketapang Regency since November 24, 2023.
"There are six sub-districts that were flooded with water levels reaching 200 cm," said Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari.
According to him, the sub-districts affected by the flood include Nanga Tayap, Sandai, Hulu Sungai, Tumbang Titi, Sungai Laur, and Muara Pawan.
Head of the Ketapang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Yunifar said that the flood had begun to recede on Saturday.
"It's 80 percent, even in some locations it's all 100 percent receding," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, December 9.
