1 Ton Sperm Whale Carcasses Stranded On Bali's Legian Beach
The carcass of a sperm whale was stranded dead on Legian Beach, Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.
The whale carcass was stranded on the border of Legian Beach or in front of the Arjuna tsunami warning tower building, Legian Village, Kuta.
Head of the Conservation Section Region I, BKSDA Bali Sumarsono said the whale length is about 10.66 meters with a body width of 2.25 meters and is estimated to weigh about 1 ton.

"The trigger (to die) is usually separated from the group and the sonar is damaged, so he is stranded," said Sumarsono, Thursday, December 7.
The giant whale may die in the middle of the sea and then be stranded on Legian Beach. Whale carcasses were buried.
"The sperm whale is indeed a herd or a group. From the smell it may have been five days or over three days. The death may have been in the middle of the sea and then stranded," he added.
