JAKARTA - Viral on social media X (Twitter) the Jabodebek LRT was targeted by vandalism.
In photos spread on social media, the Jabodebek LRT seat looks quite large.
The damage to this seat was uploaded to the @jalan5_ account. It was explained that this seat was allegedly classified by users on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
The Manager of Public Relations of the Jabodebek LRT, Mahendro Trang Bawono, regretted the alleged vandalism of the Jabodebek LRT facility as shown in the upload.
The reason is, the Jabodebek LRT has only been operating since it was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo last August 28.
"The damage to the seat occurred in one of the LRT trainsets, namely TS 04," Mahendro told reporters, Wednesday, December 6.
Furthermore, Mahendro said, currently the porous LRT seat has been replaced with a new seat.
"To avoid similar incidents, the Jabodebek LRT will intensify security officers to patrol the LRT," he said.
Mahendro appealed to all Jabodebek LRT users to participate in maintaining and maintaining the LRT facilities, because it is a public facility so that it is a shared responsibility.
