Minister Of Industry Agus Leaked The Existence Of The National Standard For Electric Motor Battery, When?
Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita revealed that in the near future there will be standardization of electric motor batteries in Indonesia. This is done as an effort by the government to attract people to switch to electric motors.
"The Ministry of Industry will soon establish a national standard for electric motor batteries, which is an effort by the Ministry of Industry to uniform electric motorcycle batteries from all manufacturers in Indonesia," said Minister of Industry Agus. met at the Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 6.
Currently, there are 24 electric motorcycle manufacturers spread throughout Indonesia. Thus, Minister of Industry Agus emphasized the need for the uniformity of electric motorcycle batteries.
In addition to facilitating or creating convenience for consumers, it also minimizes public concerns about exchanging electric motorcycle batteries in the future.
"They can exchange batteries at any swap station with the belief that they will get the battery, because we will uniform the battery standard," he said.
According to Agus, this is an effort that will be made by his party to increase the purchase of electric motorcycles in the future.
"That is in the context of the Ministry of Industry which we will improve in the future, so that consumer confidence and comfort in using electric motorcycles will be higher," he added.

Previously reported, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry Febri Hendri Antoni Arif said that his party had received a commitment from a number of electric motorcycle and electric motorcycle battery manufacturers who were ready to standardize batteries.
"In the future, we want to encourage the standardization of electric motor batteries. With the standardization of electric batteries, such as the standard dimension of the object, we hope that there are many investors who want to invest in electric batteries. Then from the consumer side, it will be easier to swap or shift," Febri told reporters in Jakarta, quoted Friday, December 1.
Febri said, with standardization, consumers will get convenience because the electric motor battery component is uniform so that it is easier to get on the market.
"So, if for example buying an electric motorcycle A, and then when for example the battery is used, now they can use the battery from another electric motorbike because there is standardization. That means, if there is standardization, the market will be wider," he said.
