Jokowi Calls Ben Mboi Kupang Hospital The Largest In Eastern Indonesia
JAKARTA - President Jokowi said the Ben Mboi Central General Hospital (RSUP) in Kupanng City was the largest hospital in eastern Indonesia.
This affirmation was conveyed by the head of state when inaugurating the operation of Ben Mboi Hospital in Kupang City, East Nysa Tenggara (NTT), Wednesday 6 December
According to Jokowi, Ben Mboi Hospital has very complete health facilities that can meet the needs of health checks for NTT residents.
The President said that Ben Mboi Hospital, which was built in an area of 14 hectares with an area of 35,000 square meters, is a very large hospital.
In addition, according to Jokowi, the health facilities owned by hospitals that cost more than IDR 420 billion in their development are very modern in supporting health services for the community.
The head of state hopes that the existing health facilities will continue to be maintained, so that they can improve health services for the community.
According to him, if so far NTT residents have had to go to Jakarta for treatment, but with this hospital there is no need to repent outside the area because it can be handled at Ben Mboi Hospital which also has adequate medical personnel.
"NTT residents no longer need to go for treatment outside the area because currently there are hospitals that have complete facilities for health services," said President Joko Widodo in an activity which was also attended by Mrs. Nafsia Mboi, the wife of Dr. Ben Mboi.

He also hopes that specialist doctors will continue to be carried out at Ben Mboi Hospital, so that they can overcome the shortage of specialists who are still experiencing deficiencies.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the construction of the Ben Mboi Hospital hospital was part of the development of health infrastructure in eastern Indonesia.
After being carried out in Ambon, he said, it was followed by the construction of the Ben Mboi Hospital in East Nusa Tenggara, so that the reach of health services in eastern Indonesia was further expanded.
He said that with the existence of very adequate health facilities in this island-based province, President Joko Widodo's hope to build health facilities from eastern Indonesia could be implemented.
