Damon Albarn Vacuumkan Blur Until More Notification
JAKARTA - Damon Albarn said Blur would be on hiatus until further notice saying 'It's too hard for me'.
Blur consists of Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree reunited after eight years of absence and released their ninth studio album The Ballad Of Darren earlier this year.
In a new interview with French publication Les Inrockuptibles (via Far Out Magazine), Albarn revealed the band will rest again until further notice.
"It's time to end this campaign. It's too hard for me. It's the right thing to do and it's a great honor to play these songs again, spend time with these people, make albums, bla-bla-bla," he said.
"I'm not saying I'm not going to do it again, it's a beautiful success, but I'm not thinking about the past," he continued.

Regarding his future, Albarn shared that he will work on an opera to be shown in Paris next year,' and reunite with Jamie Hewlett in India to start working on a new Gorillaz album.
Albarn isn't the only member of Blur to spend next year busy with his side project. Coxon will depart with his band The Waeve which consists of him and former Pipettes who are collaborators Mark Ronson and songwriters Rose Elinorol on England's arena tour as opening support for Elbow.
