Platform X Bantah Tidak Kooperatif Dengan Garlai Terkait Konten Kerusuhan Dublin

JAKARTA - On Wednesday, November 29, Irish Justice Minister Helen McEntee claimed that platform X did not want to work together to remove the post of riot content in Dublin.

In a video shared by Finemen's Party, Helen claims that platform X is uncooperative with An Garda Sryptoch fire or Guard, the Irish police. Of all social media platforms that were asked to remove riot content, only X ignored it.

X is not (responding to Gardai), they are not involved. They do not meet their own community standards and that is why we are turning to situations where these companies cannot carry out independent monitoring," Helen said.

This statement was finally denied by platform X. Through the Global Government Affairs account, platform X stated that what Helen said deviated from reality.

"This is inaccurate. We have proactively taken action against more than 1,230 content under our rules regarding riots," X Corp wrote on Tuesday, December 5.

X explained that they had met with Coinmissionanelin na Meroom, a media regulator in Ireland, on November 24. They also confirmed that Gardai had never made any requests regarding content removal.

The only application we received from the Guard regarding our enforcement of the regulations was for one post. We hope the Minister can clarify his remarks," concluded X.

Ireland experienced the tragedy of riots that injured several people. Dozens of shops and eleven Guardai cars were reportedly badly damaged, a bus and a car caught fire, up to three small children brandishing a knife.

After the riots broke out, the Irish government tried to stop the spread of content related to the violence. They are also trying to stop the disinformation that makes the situation heat up.
